In his latest match report, Brandon Guy watched Swindon Town C6 vs Bournemouth at Commonweal School:

C6 VS Bournemouth

The game started with C6 in comfortable control but with no huge chances to take the lead. In the 15th minute Harry Timbrell held the ball up well and set up Tom Phillips who could only put his shot straight at the keeper. Town’s spell of pressure continued with Bournemouth not having any chances whatsoever. In the 30th minute Finley Sly was fouled in the box, resulting in a penalty which Charlie McGuish calmly slotted home down the middle. Five minutes before half time Town had a player sent off for a late challenge.

Half Time: Swindon 1 – 0 Bournemouth

The second half started with a lot of set pieces and Swindon dominating all the possession. 30 minutes in to the second half Bournemouth hit the crossbar with a half-hearted shot from the edge of the box. In the 80th minute, Jack Tysom hit a volley on the edge of the box that went narrowly over the crossbar.

With five minutes left of the 90 a Bournemouth player ran past 3 C6 defenders with ease, but missed the bottom right corner by inches. Minutes after that attack a Bournemouth player whipped in a free kick which was headed off the bar and out for a goal kick. The last few minutes went by and C6 eased the game out.

My man of the match was Harry Timbrell, who held the ball up really well and made some great influential runs.

Full Time: Swindon C6 1 – 0 Bournemouth.
