Swindon Town FC Community Foundation

Swindon Town FC is one of 72 league clubs with a community programme affiliated to the English Football League Community Trust, delivering sporting and social opportunities to people within their communities.

Swindon Town FC Community Foundation was founded in 1991 as Swindon Town Football in the Community’ under the guidance of former Town player Leigh Barnard. Jon Holloway and Clive Maguire took over the project in 1996, transforming it into the Swindon institution that it is today, with Jon still serving as our head of trust.

The Foundation delivers football and Multi Sports based programmes within Swindon and the county of Wiltshire, and we endeavour to deliver and increase participation for people from 282 years of age. Under the guidance of the English Football League Trust, we deliver to meet the four key themes of: Sports Participation, Education, Social Inclusion and Health.

STFC Community Foundation is a crucial part of Swindon Town Football Club, with them portraying a positive and pro active image within the local area, offering opportunities for people to have a positive experience within the wide range of programmes on offer.”
