Each year, the Swindon Town Community Trust endeavours to take two teams from our Girls Centre of Excellence to Football Cup Barcelona. This is an international youth football tournament for girls, held in Salou and Cambrils, south of Barcelona.

The teams take part in a high-quality football tournament played at a fantastic football venue with 8 full-size fields – four natural grass and four artificial.

The tournament provides the perfect combination of football and holidays – with two days full of matches at the first-class football venue, a visit to Barcelona’s legendary Camp Nou stadium, and maybe even some time on the beach.

Between 80 and 100 teams from 15 countries take part in the tournament, so our teams not only get the chance to test their mettle against a variety of playing styles, they also get to meet and socialise with their peers from a large number of different cultures.
