Held at Swindon Academy every Thursday the sessions run from 5:00 – 6:00pm and are led by STFiTC football coach Allan Minns and is delivered to children of all ages with acute physical disabilities and special educational needs. This season the Community Trust has invited the Swindon Town players to become ambassadors at various projects the trust run with Massimo Luongo becoming our Disability ambassador as part of a Professional Footballers Association (PFA) initiative. After joining on loan and then permanently from Premiership giants Tottenham Hotspur, Massimo has set the County Ground alight with a string of impressive performances which eventually led to him being called up for Australia for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and Massimo is now delighted to be unveiled as the Community Trusts Disability Ambassador for the season. Clive Maguire, STFITC Joint Trust Manager, who leads on the Disability programme said: Massimo’s visit was truly inspirational to the children which saw him join in the shooting session and matches led by our Community Coach, Allan Minns. Massimo joined in with great enthusiasm and it was really good to see how the children responded to his empathy and understanding, but most of all their enthusiasm to show him what they were capable of. We look forward to another visit from Massimo in the near future!” Many Thanks to Massimo for attending the session and we look forward to your next visit!
