Wiltshire Community Foundation Give their Support to our 'Sporting Memories' Memory Cafe!
We’re very happy to be able to celebrate the generous contributions of the Wiltshire Community Foundation towards our Memory Café ‘Sporting Memories’ programme. This donation will allow this amazing programme to continue offering a unique environment for people with neurodegenerative diseases to keep in touch with their love of sport.
This contribution shows just how much importance the community, that the Wiltshire Community Foundation represents, assigns to providing care for our older participants.
Wiltshire Community Foundation joint Chief Executive Vicky Hickey said:
“We are proud to have awarded a grant to Swindon Town FC Community Foundation, through our Older People’s Programme, to enable them to continue running their Memory Café.
“Memory Cafés are an important way of supporting older people with dementia within our communities and provides them with an opportunity to reconnect socially with peers. Our Older People’s Programme is all about supporting projects that improve health and wellbeing, and reduce social isolation, and Swindon Town FC Community Foundation’s monthly Memory Café does exactly that.”
We would like to offer our enormous gratitude to Vicky, and all at the Wiltshire Community Foundation, from one Community Foundation to another!
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
