Jordan O’Donoghue, one of our prestigious members of the STFC GCFFE U16’s has been nominated for ​‘Young Sportsperson’ of the year. Not only does she play football at a high level, for our Centre For Football Excellence, but she boxes competitively in numerous competitions too. Jordan has enjoyed an excellent year, which started in January flying to Sweden to enter into the ​‘Golden Girl Competition.’ This is where all the top girls from Europe and Russia enter in the world of female Boxing. Jordan competed extremely well, reaching the final and stopping the Irish champion in the second round. After this she then fought two English champions, one of which was a two time English champion with the other champion two weight categories higher than Jordan. She beat them both very convincingly winning the Western Counties and English title again.  So in 2013 she is ​‘Golden Girl Champion’, ​‘Western Counties Champ’ and an ​‘English Champion.
