Winning team[/caption] It was a great evening’s football at Oakfield Youth Centre on Monday 16th February 2015. STFC Community Trust, in partnership with Swindon Borough Council delivered a competitive mini football tournament for boys and girls who attend the Twilight programme run in conjunction with the Street Games Project. The tournament was run by Ziggy Wardale and Tom Cox from STFC Community Trust. Ziggy Wardale from the Community Trust stated, “It was a great success with all the teams engaging in the true spirit of the event. All the matches were played in a competitive but very sporting manner. It is great to get people from all Twilight sessions within Swindon together over the half term for some game play. The winning team all received a memento medal and a ticket for the STFC home game against Crawley Town FC.” The Twilight programme aims to deliver free fun football sessions to 14 – 19 year olds in Swindon as a way of keeping active. It is run at various locations within Swindon including Oakfield at 6:30pm on Monday nights. For further information on the weekly sessions and future events please call Ziggy Wardale on 01793 421303.
