Today Swindon Town FC Community Foundation officially opened The Nigel Eady Training Centre — a covered sports facility on the site of the former County Ground Bowls Club. This will provide vulnerable groups such as the very young, and people with disabilities, the opportunity to play in a sheltered location, whatever the weather.

The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Gary Herbert and John Carter, executors of the Nigel Eady Trust, and the event was attended by over 100 supporters and friends of the Foundation including representatives of other Swindon sports clubs, and members of local government.

The Foundation would like to thank The Nigel Eady Trust, the Premier League, the FA, and the Football Foundation for their continued financial support, and Swindon Borough Council and South Swindon Parish Council for their grant funding. Further thanks to the Wiltshire Community Foundation in partnership with the Hills Group and Crapper and Sons, for their funding towards the car park and the club house refurbishment.
