The Nigel Eady Suite
We would once again like to express our deepest gratitude to the late Nigel Eady, whose legacy helped to make Foundation Park possible.
We were honoured to have been joined by his trustees for the opening ceremony, and we very much hope that we have built a facility that Nigel would have been proud of.
In honour of Nigel, we have named the main activity and function room in Foundation Park ‘The Nigel Eady Suite’. Right outside the doors that lead into this suite, there hangs the red and white scarf that he wore to every game, and a painting of him in his natural environment — the Arkell’s Stand of the County Ground.
Underneath this painting we are proud to unveil a plaque honouring Nigel, which reads:
FOUNDATION PARK WAS MADE POSSIBLE THANKS TO THE LEGACY OF NIGEL EADY (1937−2012). FARMER, WORLD TRAVELLER, RACONTEUR, LIFELONG SWINDON TOWN FAN, AND TRUE FRIEND TO MANY. YOUR NAME AND MEMORY LIVES ON.
