Swindon Town Community Foundation took to the international stage over the weekend of June 7 – 8, as three girls’ teams travelled to Spain to compete in the Barcelona Cup.

The squads – made up of two u12s teams and one u14s team – delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament, against strong international opposition. Both age groups went the full distance, falling just short in the final after impressive displays. Our other u12 team finished 3^rd place, cementing our position as one of the best groups at the competition.

Head of Foundation Shane Hewlett praised the teams for their effort and composure throughout the weekend:

“The girls put on some phenomenal performances to get to the finals in an international competition. They will have learnt so much from their experience over the weekend here.”
