Today before the First-Team match at Rodney Parade, fourteen of our Mental Health Team Players travelled to Newport to play against their ​‘We All Wear the Same Shirt’ team, in a reciprocal fixture, after the Newport team came to Swindon for the Newport County match back in September. 

Our players took park in a match at Llanwern Academy, then had some lunch before lining up to form the guard of honour as the players took to the pitch for the first-team fixture. 

We’d like to thank Norman Parselle and Emily Edwards from Newport’s County in the Community, for their excellent hospitality, all of the Newport We All Wear the Shirt players, and of course the players from our Mental Health Team for making the trip across the border. A great day was had by everyone involved!
