STFC Community Foundation’s Shane Hewlett Takes on Three-Legged Walk for Children in Need
It was all smiles and laughter at the Nigel Eady County Ground and Foundation Park as Swindon Town Community Foundation Head, Shane Hewlett, teamed up with two very special guests, Pudsey Bear and Rockin Robin, for a three-legged walk in support of BBC Children in Need. The trio tied themselves together (quite literally!) for a fun-filled challenge that brought the community together while raising awareness and funds for a fantastic cause.
The event saw Shane and Pudsey navigate their way around both venues. Despite a few wobbly moments and plenty of laughs along the way, the team completed their walk in great spirits, proving that teamwork and a good sense of humour go a long way!
Speaking after the event, Shane said: “It’s always amazing to get involved in something that brings smiles to people’s faces while supporting such an important cause. Children in Need does incredible work for young people across the country, and it’s brilliant that we can do our bit here in Swindon.”
The Swindon Town Community Foundation continues to show its commitment to giving back, using the power of football to make a real difference both on and off the pitch. With the help of Pudsey and Rockin Robin, this latest effort was a wonderful example of community spirit in action, all for a cause that helps change young lives for the better.
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
