Spotlight on our Disability Sessions!

News

Posted Feb 24, 2024

This week we’re shining a spotlight on our weekly sessions for players with additional needs!

Every Wednesday evening we have three amazing sessions from 5 — 8 PM.

First up is our DS Active Group, where participants with Downs’ Syndrome come to play the sport they love. There is consistently some very high quality football on display, and everyone has a lot of fun.

From 6 — 7 is our Pan-Disability group, where young people with different additional needs, varying from emotional and behavioural, to physical, get the opportunity to take part in different fun games, activities, and matches, working on key skills and abilities.

Our last session of the block is our LD Football session. This is a session for adults with learning disabilities, to come together and play football with a great group, all in a similar situation. This is often fast paced, and can get very competitive!

We love being able to provide these opportunities for the people of Swindon who might need them, and our ability to provide these has been bolstered immeasurably since the opening of the Nigel Eady Training Centre!

If you know anyone who would benefit from any of these sessions, please get in contact with Brad@STFCfoundation.com.

We love our supporters.

And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
