Honorary President – Mike Spearman

We are deeply saddened to announce that Swindon Town FC Honorary President Mike Spearman has passed away.

Mike has been a great servant to the club for over 40 years as a director, chairman, club ambassador and honorary president. Mike was an avid Swindon Town fan, travelling home and away to support the team and was very proud of his association with the football club.

Mike will be fondly remembered for his time on matchdays when he enjoyed walking the stands to meet supporters and discuss the football club.

Over the last 25 years Mike also proudly took the role of Trustee and Chairman of Swindon Town FC Community Foundation and worked closely with the Head of Foundation Jon Holloway.

Jon commented – ​“Mike was a wonderful man, he was fully dedicated, caring and committed to everything Swindon Town. As club chairman and director Mike was passionate about supporting the local community and played a big role in the Community Foundation. Mike was extremely dedicated and volunteered many hours to ensure that our Community Foundation continued to grow and develop over the years. We know how proud Mike was when we finally achieved our ambition of having our own facility and moving into Foundation Park. We will forever be grateful of Mike’s loyal support and friendship.”
