Premier League Trophy Visits Foundation Park
Swindon Town FC Community Foundation was proud to host the Premier League Trophy at Foundation Park last week, to celebrate our Premier League Primary Stars programme.
The visit provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young people and members of the community to get up close with one of the most iconic pieces of silverware in world football. Each school had the opportunity for a team photo, as well as a Q+A with the PL team, to learn everything they could about the trophy.
After, the schools took part in a football festival where they participated in a skill zone and had a Q+A with Swindon Town Women’s players Elise Clayton, Libby Waylen and Grace Purnell before playing some friendly football matches.
For many, especially the younger participants, seeing the Premier League Trophy in person was a hugely inspiring moment — reminding them of the power of football to excite, connect, and motivate.
Speaking about the day, Brad Carter, Assistant Head of Foundation said:
“It was a privilege to bring the Premier League Trophy to Foundation Park. The reaction from the children was incredible — it’s something they’ll never forget. Opportunities like this are what make our work so special.”
We would like to thank the Premier League for making the visit possible and for recognising the importance of community football initiatives like those delivered by Swindon Town FC Community Foundation.
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
