This week saw the Football in The Community trust welcome six Swindon Town First Team players to their weekly Development Sessions that run in the Swindon and Wiltshire area. Josh Cooke, Lee Marshall and Lawrence Vigouroux attended our Oasis Player/Goalkeeper Development Centre on Monday evening, Winger Ellis Iandolo visited our Stratton Boys and Girls session and then Thursday evening, Jeremy Balmy and Drissa Traore took part in our Dorcan Development Centre. All the players watched and took part in each of the sessions, which were carefully led by our STFiTC coaches and then took part in Q
&A’s and posed for photographs with all the children. The STFiTC Trust currently deliver our Development Centres to over
400 children Monday-Saturday in Swindon and Wiltshire and all the children follow a coaching syllabus, play small sided games whilst improving as players in a fun and enjoyable environment. The visit of the players this week was delightfully received by all the children and they were given expert advice from the players and also given a platform to showcase their talents in front of the professional players. Andy Ealey, STFiTC Community Officer and Appearance Officer commented ” It is great to have the players attend these sessions this week, the children at the sessions get a real lift from meeting their heroes and the players engaged excellently well with everyone throughout the week. We look forward to welcoming more players to our sessions in the future!” For more details on our Development Centre programme please contact the STFiTC office on
