PFA Champion[/caption] Tyrell Belford wins PFA Community Award 2016 On Saturday 16th April before the Swindon Town v Bury game, Swindon Town Football in The Community Trust awarded their PFA Community Champion award trophy to STFC Goalkeeper Tyrell Belford. Tyrell has been playing for STFC for the past three seasons and during his time at the club, the young stopper has engaged himself into various community programmes here at Swindon Town including coaching sessions for Goalkeepers, handing out awards at holiday camps and even attending training sessions amongst other projects. The last three seasons has seen Tyrell lead the squad on the most appearances for a player and we feel that he has more than deserved this prestigious award. On hand to present Tyrell with his trophy was STFC Advanced Goalkeeper Matt Goldfinch, STFC CFFE player Honor Fraser as well as STFITC Community Officer Andy Ealey. Andy Ealey STFITC Community Officer commented by saying “Tyrell has been a tremendous role model for lots of children in the Swindon and Wiltshire area. He has a great aura about him whenever he has attended different events and for a player of such a young age he has shown great maturity beyond his years. He really deserves this award” Belford also commented “I’m happy to be named PFA Community Champion for the second year running, it is always nice to give back to the community and I am always extremely passionate about this side of things at the football club”
