Last weekend was an exciting and proud moment for our programme as several of our talented young footballers represented the club at the English Schools Football Association (ESFA) trials held at Hartpury College. These trials bring together some of the most promising school-aged players from across the region, offering them the chance to showcase their ability and compete for a place in the national squads.

We were delighted to see three of our Girls ETC players: Katie, Amelia, and Izzy were selected to trial for the Under-15’s ESFA team. Throughout the day, the girls demonstrated exceptional commitment, technical skill, and maturity on and off the pitch. Their hard work in training and their positive attitudes were clear for all to see, and they represented the club with real pride.

A huge well done to all three, we are incredibly proud of you, and we wish you the very best of luck as the selection process continues.

In addition to the girls’ success, we were equally thrilled to have two of our C6 boys first-team players: Juan and Ryan who were nominated for the Under-18s ESFA trials, also hosted at Hartpury. Both players have shown tremendous development this season, consistently performing at a high level and earning recognition from coaches and staff. Taking part in trials of this standard is an achievement in itself, and both boys rose to the occasion with confidence and determination.

Opportunities like these highlight the strength and depth of talent within our programmes, and they reflect the dedication shown by players, coaches, and families alike. We are proud of every individual who reaches this stage, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue their football journeys.
