New Strategic Appointments for the Foundation
The Board of Trustees at Swindon Town FC Community Foundation are delighted to announce that Shane Hewlett is to become the new Head of Community, replacing Jon Holloway who is taking on a reduced hours position as Director of Community.
Shane has been an integral part of the Foundation’s development over the past two decades and he will be assisted in his new role by Andy Tye and Brad Carter who move into more senior positions.
Shane said “I am excited and honoured to become the new Head of Community at a time when the Foundation continues to strengthen and grow. I believe that I will bring knowledge and experience gained over two decades of working at the Foundation and in wider community development to help us continue providing the best support we can to the communities we serve. It’s been a privilege to have worked with Jon over the last 20 years. It has been an unbelievable journey for the Community Foundation under his leadership and Jon’s dedication and drive has seen him accomplish his ambition of developing outstanding facilities at Foundation Park to meet the needs of our community”
Jon informed the Board of Trustees that he wished to step down from Head of Foundation to spend more time with his family.
Jon said “I am extremely proud to work for the Foundation at the football club that I have supported all my life. However, I now have a fourth grandchild on the way, and I have made the tough decision to step down, as I want to have more time to support my family. It is very special to see how far the Foundation has come and I am looking forward to being able to support Shane, Andy and Brad in their new roles as they lead the Foundation into the next chapter.”
Chair of Trustees Kirsteen Fraser said ” We are looking forward to working with Shane, Andy and Brad as they lead the Community Foundation into a new era of development and congratulate them on their successes with their respective promotions. It is pleasing that Jon will continue to be an integral part of the Foundation Leadership Team. The growth of the Foundation over recent years has been a phenomenal journey and one that has been driven by the shared vision of Jon and Clive Maguire. Jon’s commitment and drive has been relentless in order to secure high quality activities for the people of Swindon and beyond. On a personal note, I will miss working with Jon very much . I know that he is keen to spend time with his growing family and this new role will enable him to stay involved in the continued strategic development of the Foundation. On behalf of the Trustees, thank you Jon for your years of committed service.”
