Kingsdown secured a place in the final of the Utilita Girls Cup following a dramatic semi-final victory, decided by a winning penalty that ensured progression to the final stage of the competition.

In the final, Kingsdown faced a strong Reading side in a closely contested match. Despite a determined performance they suffered a 1 – 0 defeat to finish as runners-up. The result capped off an impressive run and highlighted the quality and resilience shown by the players throughout the tournament.

As a result of their great performances, Kingsdown will now go on to represent Swindon Town Football Club in the Southern Final of the Utilita Girls Cup. The event will take place at Foundation Park in March and will see Kingsdown compete among the final eight teams in the Southern section of the competition.

With a place at Wembley at stake, the Southern Final promises to be an exciting occasion, and Kingsdown will look to build on their success as they continue their journey in the tournament.
