Swindon Town FC Community Foundation is proud to celebrate one of our own this week, as Izzy Reeves was featured in the latest EFL Newsletter for her fantastic journey through our Girls Programme.

At just 17, Izzy has shown remarkable growth both on and off the pitch. When she first joined the programme, she lacked confidence in her football ability and wasn’t sure where she fit within the game. Today, she is a regular participant who arrives each week with enthusiasm, purpose, and a growing belief in herself.

Izzy shared her experience with the EFL:

“Before joining the Girls Programme, I didn’t feel very confident playing football, but now I look forward to every session. I’ve improved my fitness and my football, but the biggest difference is how much more confident I feel. I’ve made friends, feel part of a team and it’s given me something I really enjoy doing every week.”

Her journey reflects exactly what the Girls Programme aims to deliver, a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where young women can develop their skills, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
