Swindon Town Football In the Community Trust are proud to be part of the EFL’s Community Day of Action. Swindon Town are one of the 72 English Football League Charitable Trusts that will come together on one day to showcase the impact they are making in their local communities, delivering sporting and social opportunities to people aged from 3 — 80 years old, focusing on the four key themes of Sports Participation, Education, Social Inclusion and Health. The Trust, with the support of the local partners, continue to strive and achieve their maximum potential by engaging with over 30,000 participants on an annual basis. As part of the day it was an early start at BBC Wiltshire sound to discuss the importance of STFC Community Trust and the impact it makes on Wiltshire’s community. It’s then off to local company DHL to discuss our successful Football Fans in Training’ Healthier Lifestyle Programme which has seen over 150 men participate and lose over 200 stone in weight! Our staff will also be on hand to run some workshops and recruit for our up and coming course in September 2017. Finally we will be at Commonweal 6th form this evening, with STFC Assistant Manager Ross Embleton, who will present 36 lucky students their STFC match shirts as part of the STFC C6 Football Education Programme. The male and female students will join the school and start their 2 year full time Football Education course in September to study, train, play and receive Coach Education.
