Today marks a very emotional day in the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation, as our very own Clive Maguire calls time on his 23 years of working within Football in the Community at Swindon Town FC.

Clive started full time at STFC Football in the Community back in 1996 when Clive and Jon were given the task of developing the clubs outreach programme and engaging with the local community.

Over the past 23 years Clive has played a hugely significant role in growing the organisation from just two employees coaching a couple of hundred children a week, to today’s Community Foundation that has over 40 full and part time employees, along with a team of 25 volunteers that are delivering projects and programmes to over 3,000 participants every week of the year.

Head of Foundation Jon Holloway pays a special tribute to a special man It is very difficult to put into words the appreciation that Clive deserves for the 23 years of loyal service he has committed to Swindon Town Football in the Community. Clive has dedicated his working life to helping other people and in particular Clive has a real passion for supporting and coaching children and adults with disabilities.

Clive has worked tiresomely over the years to ensure that our projects and programmes could have a positive effect on as many participants as possible.
Clive has been the consummate professional and friend, and I have been honoured to have worked alongside Clive for all these years.

Clive has recently become a very proud grandad and he is very much looking forward to spending more time with his family and grandson.

On behalf of the Foundation can I sincerely thank Clive for his dedication and commitment over so many years and we all wish him and his family every happiness in the years to come.’
