C6 Girls Win the League Title

Congratulations to our C6 Girls team who won the league in some style today following a 10 – 0 win over Gower Girls in Swansea.
The girls have had a stellar campaign, going unbeaten on their way to the title, taking 28 point from a possible 30 and scoring 53 goals in the process.
Girls’ Development Officer Abby Picton said: “The girls have done brilliantly this year. To go the entire season unbeaten is an achievement at any level of football, but to do so in such a competitive league makes it even more special. Working with the C6 girls is always great fun and it’s so nice to end the season on such a high.”
The team were cheered on by a special mascot today in the form of Irwin, the Commonweal School dog.
Elsewhere, our C6 Boys were also in action at fixtures against Chelsea and Norwich City.
The Year 12 C6 Boys lost 5 – 1 to Norwich City, in a result that didn’t reflect the boys’ effort in a rain-drenched East Anglia.
The Year 13 Boys meanwhile beat Chelsea 3 – 1 to move within 2 points of second place in their pursuit of the runner-up spot.
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
