The home side made a good start and when Dana Minhall ran clear Chantelle Lovell chased back to clear the danger. A Beth Thompson and Ellie Maynard move created an opening for Amy Baker to shoot and force Keynsham keeper Irana Miljkovic to save low at the post. The Town began to have the better of the play and Georgia Walters made a tricky run through the Keynsham defence but her final shot was just wide of the mark. Michelle Rich almost caught the home keeper out of position but her lob dropped just wide of the goal. Keynsham were making little headway through the Town’s back line but Yazmin Laver did get a drive on target which Town keeper Robyn Levett held. At the other end Beth Thompson cut in from the Town’s right but her cross was eventually scrambled clear. Keynsham were creating few chances but again Yazmin Lever got in a drive from 25 yards that Robyn Levett in the Town’s goal saved comfortably. Again Beth Thompson caused problems in the Keynsham goalmouth and in the resulting scramble it was down to Emilly Knight to clear the ball off the goaline. At half time Daisy Pearce- Lyons took over in the Keynsham goal to replace Irand Miljkovic who had picked up a knock in the first half. The Town started the second half well, Michelle Rich hit the post with the keeper beaten and then in the 49^th minute Ellie Maynard neatly set up Georgia Walters to put the Town ahead. Amy Baker played a through ball to put Beth Thompson clear but Andrea Alexanaru got back to clear. In the 68^th minute Amy Baker and Michelle Rich set up Georgia Walters to double the Town’s lead. The Town were very much in control and in the 70^th minute Kelly Nightingale slipped the ball across the Keynsham goalmouth to give Beth Thompson a straightforward tap in. The Town brought on Mel Farrow, who was making her debut after signing from Reading, and she quickly found the net but her effort was ruled out for offside. With the game into injury time, Amy Baker’s shot was pushed out by the Keynsham keeper to Ellie Maynard who scored number four for the Town. Chantelle Lovell was made Captain for the day because after many years playing for the Town she was moving on to join the Royal Air Force. The Town Reserves’ game against Trowbridge in the Wiltshire County League was unfortunately postponed.
