Jack Savage Memorial Match[/caption] Trust Manager Clive Maguire was delighted to attend the annual Jack Savage memorial match between a Croft 11 and a Wroughton 11 on Saturday. A lovely sunny afternoon with both sides offering an entertaining spectacle, with the eventual winners Wroughton claiming the trophy for the second year running. Was lovely to see a large crowd of friends and family there supporting the event, which meant so much to both Steven and Tanya Savage, and the rest of Jack’s family and friends. After the match, everyone enjoyed the sunshine at The Fox and Hounds Pub in Wroughton, where we were warmly welcomed by the landlord John Skitterall, who had a hog roast ready and waiting for the hungry players and supporters. With the help of everyone involved, all who attended had a great day in the sun, where over £600 was raised for the Dave Turner Memorial fund, supporting the Football in the Community Trust disability programme. Everyone at the trust would like to sincerely thank Kevin Cook for all his hard work and commitment in making the event so successful, and for everyone else who attented.
