School Visit To Oaktree Primary!
This afternoon, as part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, a lesson was delivered at Oaktree Nursery and Primary School focusing on the importance of staying safe online. The session formed part of ongoing work to support young people in developing the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
In support of Safer Internet Day, pupils were encouraged to explore some of the potential risks associated with using the internet. Particular emphasis was placed on the growing role of artificial intelligence, helping the children understand both the opportunities it presents and the importance of using it appropriately. Through discussion and interactive activities, pupils were able to share their thoughts and ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.
The lesson also highlighted practical ways children can protect themselves online, including being mindful of the information they share and knowing where to go for help if something does not feel right. These key messages helped reinforce positive online behaviour and built confidence in recognising unsafe situations.
To conclude the session, the children took part in a creative activity, producing a range of excellent posters to demonstrate what they had learned. Their work showed a strong understanding of the topic, as well as enthusiasm and creativity, making the session a great success overall.
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
