Trophy Success For Our Girls Teams!
It has been a successful day for our Girls programme, highlighted by our U14’s and U16’s both winning their EDP Finals and bringing home the trophies. In two competitive round robin tournaments, both sides delivered composed and effective performances, taking their chances well and showing resilience to see out their victories.
It was a busy schedule across the pathway, with all PDC, ETC and CFFE girls teams in action at Foundation Park. We welcomed strong opposition throughout the day, including Reading, Birmingham, QPR, Shrewsbury, MK Dons and Peterborough, providing a good test for all our age groups.
Across the fixtures, matches were competitive and well-matched, giving players the opportunity to challenge themselves in different situations. There were plenty of positives, with teams showing good organisation and using what they had learnt into training and putting it into game situations.
Attacking play stood out, with a number of well-worked team goals as well as some strong individual moments in the final third. Defensively, there were some very tight games which the team worked hard to secure some big wins.
Overall, it was a positive and productive day, with silverware at the top end and clear progress shown across all groups. A strong reflection of the work being put in by players and staff across the Girls pathway.
We love our supporters.
And we love what we do. But we couldn’t do it without these great people that get behind us. Be a supporter.
