Swindon Town FC C6 Girls capped off another extraordinary season in style, securing the EFL 2526 CEFA Cup with an emphatic 4 – 0 victory over Manchester City in the final.

The match, played at Shrewsbury Town’s stadium, saw Swindon take control from the very first whistle. Their bright start quickly paid off when Irene Aguado calmly slotted home the opening goal, giving her side an early advantage and setting the tone for what would follow.

Swindon doubled their lead soon after, thanks to a beautifully delivered cross from Alana Couling. Elise Clayton met it perfectly, sliding the ball into the net to make it 2 – 0 and put her team firmly in command.

The second half began just as strongly as the first, with Swindon continuing to press forward. Elise Clayton once again took centre stage, racing down the left flank before firing home her second goal of the game. She completed a superb hat-trick shortly after, calmly rounding the goalkeeper and finishing into an empty net to seal a memorable performance.

At the final whistle, celebrations erupted among players, coaches, and the travelling supporters who made the journey to Shrewsbury. The victory not only secured the CEFA Cup but also completed a remarkable league and cup double for the second consecutive season.

Even more impressively, the team has remained unbeaten across both campaigns, underlining their consistency, determination, and quality.

Congratulations go to all the players and the coaching staff: Shane, Clive, and Tracey, for an outstanding achievement and a season to remember.
