The STFC Foundation is celebrating an important milestone this week, marking six months since the start of its partnership with main sponsor Roots. 

Since the partnership began, one of the most significant developments has been the Foundation’s successful transition to the Roots payment platform. The new system has enabled the organisation to bring many of its programmes together under one streamlined platform.

This change has made a noticeable difference behind the scenes. By simplifying financial administration, the Foundation team now spends far less time managing payments and financial processes. At the same time, participants benefit from a much smoother and easier payment system when signing up to programmes. 

Reflecting on the partnership so far, Head of the Foundation Shane Hewlett and Senior Administrator Andrea Clayton have shared their thoughts on how Roots has supported the organisation during the past six months and helped improve its day-to-day operations.

The Foundation is also encouraging other sports clubs and organisations that run subscription-based schemes to consider whether Roots could benefit them too.
