Swindon Town FC Community Foundation is thrilled to announce its successful receipt of the recent National Lottery funding, empowering the Foundation to expand its crucial youth work initiatives for the local community. The significant grant, part of the £122 million disbursed to 2,500 charities and community groups across England, marks a pivotal moment for the Foundation’s continued commitment to fostering positive change among the youth.

Administered by The National Lottery Community Fund, the leading community funder in the UK, this substantial funding underscores the Foundation’s mission to provide young individuals aged 11 – 18 with engaging football sessions, educational workshops, and competitive tournaments. With a strong focus on diverting attention from crime and anti-social behaviour, these initiatives aim to instil vital life skills, teamwork, and a sense of community spirit among the youth.

We are honoured to be selected as a recipient of the National Lottery funding, allowing us to expand our youth work programme and create a positive impact in the lives of young people in our community,” expressed Brad Carter, Governance & Partnership Manager, Swindon Town FC Community Foundation.

The Foundation’s upcoming event on Tuesday, October 24th, marks the first event made possible by this funding. Participants will take part in a match-day experience, featuring an engaging workshop, dynamic football session, and match tickets to watch Swindon vs Gillingham.

With the dedicated support of the National Lottery Community Fund, Swindon Town FC Community Foundation continues its commitment to empowering the youth and nurturing a brighter future for the local community.
