It was our pleasure to welcome local MP Heidi Alexander to Foundation Park this afternoon for a visit to see first-hand the work being carried out by the Community Foundation.

During her visit, Heidi was given a tour of the facilities and had the opportunity to see some of our summer holiday activities in action. The sessions provide local young people with the chance to stay active, have fun and take part in a range of activities during the school holidays.

The visit also provided an opportunity to speak with Heidi about the important role the Community Foundation plays within the local community, supporting people of all ages through sport, education and community-based programmes.

We were also able to share our exciting plans for the new season ahead and discuss some of the opportunities we are looking to develop across Foundation Park and beyond.

It was fantastic to welcome Heidi to Foundation Park and showcase some of the work taking place on a daily basis, while also discussing how we can continue to build on our work and make a positive difference across the local community.
