Fantastic Week Of Results For The C6's!

It was a great week for the STFC C6 teams who secured some great results against top opposition.

The Girls C6 1st’ played their first home game of the season and took all three point with a comfortable 7 – 1 victory. Summer Pike being the standout and player of the match with two fantastic goals, whilst running the midfield for 90 minutes. This result puts them top of the table in the central women’s league.

The Boys C6 1st’ also secured three points with a hard fought 2 – 1 win against Peterborough United. Josh Mckinlay scored a rocket from outside the box for the opener and earnt himself player of the match. The boys also go up to top of the table.

The Boys C6 2’s came from 1 – 0 down at half-time to beat MK Dons A’s 2 – 1. Joe Keogh scored a bullet of a free-kick to tie it up, before Jamie Edny floated in a perfect cross which was knocked in his own net by the defender. Ethan Puttick got the player of the match award.

The Girls C6 2’s suffered a 2 – 0 away against Plymouth Argyle A’s. Despite coming out on the wrong side, they still put in a solid performance against a very strong Plymouth girls side. Summer Dennis got the player of the match for her hard work and determination for 90 minutes.

And finally the Boys C6 3’s remain unbeaten in their league with a 2 – 2 draw away against top of the table Plymouth Argyle Newton Abbott. Eden Hewlett taking home the player of the game with a standout performance in midfield. 

Four cup games at home next Wednesday for the C6 teams!
